When it comes to camping safely, never let pride come before staying safe in the woods. Always tell friends or family where you are going and when to expect you back from your trip. This will give you a backup plan in case something unfortunate happens, and it ensures a search party will be on their way if you happen to go missing. It’s always fun to pack luxury items when camping casually, but always make room for key supplies that will keep you alive in case of emergency. The most important rule of staying safe when camping is to be fully prepared for anything that can happen. Chances are you’ll have a great time in any case, but knowing you are fully equipped will ensure that you are free to enjoy the outdoors.
There are many exciting possibilities when it comes to camping since the opportunities for great outdoor adventure seem endless. People go out into the wilderness in all seasons and for the most part, they stay out of trouble. But any veteran camper will know that it’s essential to be prepared when dealing with the unpredictable elements. Follow the most basic rule that anything can happen because that definitely applies to being in outdoors. It may take a bit more planning on your part, but getting caught unprepared can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.
There are basic camping supplies that everyone should have that include tents, matches, and sleeping bags. Once you have those things packed you should also consider important survival gear in case of emergencies. No matter what else you bring along, it is always necessary to have comprehensive first aid supplies available. There are well equipped kits available that are portable enough to carry around in any situation. If you prefer camping in rough terrain, then survival gear is a great idea to handle the tougher elements that can challenge you at any moment. These things might cost a bit more, but there is no value that can be placed on life saving supplies when you most need them.

Always remember the simple rule that your tent will only be as good as the ground on which you build it. So make sure to pick a suitable campground where you will be spending your time. Take the effort to completely survey the area to make sure it is large enough to accommodate all of your needs. Make sure to feel the ground to see if it might be wet since residual moisture can certainly seep through the bottom of a tent. After you’ve found a decent piece of dry ground, clear the area of small pebbles and sticks that can poke your back during the evening. It’s also a good idea to find a cool region with shade if you are camping during the hot summer days. Tents can certainly get very hot if not properly ventilated and you don’t want to overheat yourself in a hot area.
There’s nothing more horrible than a suddenly collapsing tent so don’t take any shortcuts when it comes to setting it up. If you can, erect the tent in your own backyard before you actually take your camping trip. You’ll be glad when you take the time and effort beforehand to see if everyone fits inside perfectly. With a good tent in place, the possibilities are unlimited, so always do the best in setting up your tent first. Whether you have a small single tent or a large 6-man camping tent; always make sure to get solid stakes plant firmly in the ground. Even the least expensive 4-person camping tent will include all the equipment you need, but sometimes it’s necessary to purchase more sturdy supplies to supplement the given materials.
When it comes to enjoying camping, no purchase you make can be as essential as the tent you choose. After all, the tent will be your primary camping focus where you get all of the relaxation you will need for your other activities. People find tents fascinating because they are such basic structures and yet they provide valuable protection in the woods. They sometimes remind us of the days when we used to play as kids but the best part of being an adult is that you can set up a tent on your own. Remember the basics and take extra precautions when necessary. You’ll be glad you did and your camping experience will be a lot more fun overall.

In good weather during the summer I enjoy nothing more than sleeping right out in the open under the starts. It is a beautiful feeling to just look up into a dark sky, to feel the breeze on your face and to hear all of the insects and birds around you. For me, at least, it makes me really feel as if I am experiencing nature in a closer way than I could if I were sleeping in a cabin or even in a light tent.
The other great thing about sleeping out in the open is that it means I have less to carry. I really love to travel light when I go hiking or mountaineering. I’m at my happiest if I can just cram what I need into a small day pack instead of having to lug along a heavy backpack.
The trouble is, though, that I don’t want to put myself completely at the mercy of the elements. A little bit of light rain is not very much of a problem if you are in the open, nor is a bit of dew. At worse I usually just pull a groundsheet or tarpaulin over myself if there are a few drops of rain. But for anything more protracted I do need some protection. One solution is to carry a very small and light tent or tarpaulin shelter, but for some purposes I’ve found a bivy bag works even better. These are really like sleeping bags and are made of waterproof and breathable fabric. The idea is that you slip your sleeping bag into one and then sleep in this nice dry and warm cocoon. If it starts raining you have to pull your head into it too and close up the top. They can be a bit stuffy when closed up like that, and are certainly not very sociable. You can’t fit two people into one of those, as you can with a 2-man tent. Nor can you cook in one, which can be a problem if it is raining heavily and you have to cook or go hungry. But for short excursions in the summer, I find that using one of these little bags is a great way to have a small and light pack, which really allows me to enjoy myself so much more than if I were slowed down by a heavy one with a big old tent in it.

Amazon John
From a young age Amazon John Easterling knew what his destiny would be. Influenced by reading the Weekly Reader in school and learning about children around the world he was so captivated that he knew deep within what lied in his future. John grew up and attended the University of North Caroline earning his degree in Environmental Studies. He left the country in search of undiscovered treasures traveling through South America. His passion for discovering lost cities urged him forward battling snakes, insects and extreme weather but these things did not stop his strong desire that had been with him for many years.
While exploring the forests of the Amazon John became ill due to a damaged liver that was caused by illnesses which had been contracted 10 years earlier. He had lived with symptoms of fatigue, foggy thought and chronic low energy from these prior illnesses but did not realize that these lasting effects would lead him to what he was about to discover. Becoming so weak with chills and fever he knew he was in serious trouble. Following a trail along the river bank Amazon John found a village and collapsed there. The natives of the village begin to care for him giving a mixture of teas that broke his fever and had him on his feet within three days. He felt better than he had in years and knew that the plants and herbs that grew in the rainforest had great medicinal powers.
After working with certain herbs his Amazon Herb company was founded. His discoveries led him to work with doctors from around the world and now he has products available to everyone. Amazon John offers different blends of Amazon herbs and plants that provide anit-oxidents to anti-aging effects. His products also give digestive aid, boost immune system and much more.

Chicken coops runs are what you need to keep your chickens healthy. You see, they need a spacious area where they can peck and scratch in order to develop their bodies. Fresh air and sunlight are two important things that your chicken needs to stay healthy. But the only problem with letting them free in your backyard without any protection are the various predators lurking in the shadows. If you do not provide your chickens protection from these predators, then you will lose a lot of chickens due to predator attacks.
What you can do is construct chicken coops runs so that your chickens can enjoy the fresh air and sunlight without having to worry about predators. If you have seen a chicken coop house and run type cage, then you will find out why chicken coops runs are so important.
Making them is quite easy, you can even use chicken coop kits to get started. As a start, understand that the chicken coops runs is an extension of a chicken coop. Simply place chicken wire or regular wire around the area, approximately 1 feet deep. This will ensure that predators will not be able to dig under the fence in order to get in. Also, make sure to get good materials that won’t be destroyed when predators try to bite them. I’ve seen too many chickens get killed because predators easily bit the fence! Make sure this does not happen to you!
For your chickens to grow strong, and should you have a hen with chicks, then they will need a place where they can bask under the sun and scratch the ground for goodies. Your only choice is to give them a space where they can enjoy the fresh cool air and the warm sunlight. Construct your very own chicken coops runs now!

The best sleeping bags for camping depend on where you will be camping. There are a number of different styles, weights, materials and packing ability to choose from. Set your budget before you begin shopping.
Sleeping bags are designed to withstand certain temperatures and using a bag that is too warm can make for an uncomfortable night. This theory is also applied if too light of a bag is used during a cold winter night. Sleeping bags are labelled with the lowest temperature they can sustain while still keeping an occupant warm.
Size is another key point to look at. Some sleeping bags are designed with an average person in mind, and are not accommodating to those over six feet tall. This is true for weight as well. A standard bag can comfortably fit a person up to approximately 220 pounds. Most sleeping bags are available in standard or extra-long.
Mummy style bags are ideal for cold nights. These bags are tapered near the foot area and provide a head covering. The snug fit keeps a person warmer, but limits movement in the bag. Typical square or box shape sleeping bags provide extra wiggle room. The square bags can be zipped together to form a double size bed for co-sleeping.
The outer shell of a sleeping bag should be made with some type of moisture resistant material. This will help keep the occupant dry in the case of frost on the ground, rainy or snowy conditions. The fill of the bag will determine how warm the bag will be. Goose down or synthetic material are the most common options.
Backpackers or hikers will appreciate a lightweight bag that can be compressed and rolled tight to fit in a pack. Typically, mummy style bags are a great option for hikers because they generally sleep under the stars where it may be a bit colder.
Every person will have a different opinion on what the ideal sleeping bag is. Choose the best sleeping bag depending on the temperature zone where you will be having your outdoor adventures.

Even if your backyard is filled with beautiful pieces of outdoor furniture, no yard is complete without a fire pit. Fire pits are more than just a way to stay warm- they provide a surreal look and feel by projecting natural light upon their surroundings. The mesmerizing swirl and twirl of the flames warms the body and soul. These pits are often designed beautifully with many decorative touches. However, some people don’t like the fact that they have to tend to wood logs. What they might not know is that propane fire pits are a completely maintenance free alternative. Propane fire pits don’t use wood, but instead utilize gas from a propane tank to make their flames. The flames can be adjusted in intensity by using a valve.
The Peterson Outdoor Campfyre is actually a hybrid between a gas fire pit and campfire. This system is portable enough to be used both at home and on the go. The fire bowl sits at 34 inches in diameter and contains the heating element. The bowl is contained within an elegant white stucco base. The steel circular burner promotes even heating and flame distribution. A manual valve allows users to control the flame output and shut off the flame in an emergency.
This campfire/fire pit uses a propane tank for power. For this reason, the Peterson campfire can be taken anywhere, including to the campsite or even local park. The Peterson campfire can sometimes be used in areas where log burning fires are prohibited. It can reach an impressive 70000 BTU when fully heated. You can use the system for warmth or even to cook food on sticks. Optional artificial logs can be purchased separately to place over the flames, or you can use lava rocks. Peterson makes a variety of other fire pit products too.

I really wouldn’t want to own an ATV without a Polaris RZR winch mount. It is one of the most useful and versatile attachments that you could invest in with your hard-earned money. I’ve used mine to pull logs that I’ve just cut, to pull myself out of holes I should have been smarter than to go in. I even use the winch to make sure my fence wire is tight enough before I nail it to the fence posts. During big buck season, it sure is easier to let your ATV do all the work with its winch instead of having to pull that deer all the way up for skinning by yourself. I haven’t used it to pull a regular road vehicle, but I wouldn’t hesitate to give it a try. You could probably come up with dozens of other uses.
The Polaris RZR Winch can help out with all those tasks and more. The Polaris 2500 lb winch is strong enough for any job and can bolt on to many models including the Polaris Ranger RZR, the Polaris Ranger, and the Polaris Sportsman. Can you use the Polaris RZR Winch on other ATV’s? Sure you can, but you will probably have to buy a special mounting plate to go along with it.
With a powerful 1.2 horsepower rating, the permanent magnet motor of the Polaris RZR winch mount is a real workhorse. This winch also features a planetary gear drive with dynamic breaking. This greatly reduces the chance of free spooling. I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a great option to me. It isn’t any fun trying to untangle yards and yards of heavy duty metal cabling once it’s become tangled and kinked. It is especially painful if you’re in the middle of an important recovery job in extreme heat or cold conditions.
The Polaris RZR winch comes with everything you need right out of the box. Included are the roller fairlead, a mini rocker switch with a mounting bracket, and fifty feet of 3/16 inch steel cable. Needless to say, the winch is CE approved.
If you need even more power than the 2500 lb provides, check out the Polaris RZR Winch model Warn RT 30. This is even more powerful than the standard model. It is the most powerful winch available to put on your Polaris Ranger RZR ATV. Either one of these winches will satisfy your need for power.

Storage solutions don’t come cheap these days. Expect to spend a pretty penny on any full-sized outdoor shed solution. The reason these structures cost so much is because they require a lot of material to make. Both plastic and steel sheds can require hundreds of pounds of material to manufacture. Fortunately there is an alternative to sheds that can keep your yard shady and cool- the pop up gazebo. Pop up gazebos are lightweight and cost effective, yet are sturdy and provide the shade you need. You can use these gazebos to provide shade to and outdoor dining area, protect your yard tools, and more.
The Sky Enterprise 10 By 10 Pop Up Gazebo is a good gazebo for people with small to medium shading needs. It’s called a “pop-up” gazebo because the frame can expand to full size in seconds. Unlike traditional gazebos, this one can be folded down flat for transport. Take it to the park and bring it back home with no problems. The tubular steel frame makes it lightweight and easy to carry. The gazebo fits into a compact travel bag. Passer-bys will be surprised when you pull a full sized gazebo out of the bag and assemble it before their eyes. To assemble, simply pull on the sides of the frame and expand it to full width. Then pull the legs out to reach full height and you’re done.
The Sky Enterprise gazebo is made with weather resistant materials both in the canopy and frame. The steel frame has been covered with a protector to prevent rusting and unwanted degradation causes by weather. The top cover resists fading, tearing and other damages all while shielding occupants from the sun’s glare. There are no loose parts to mess with- the gazebo consists of one solid unit.
